Perspektywy Education Foundation - together with the Conference of Rectors of Polish Technical Universities (KRPUT) - organized the Forum for Leaders in Engineering Education 2018. It took place on April 17, 2018 in Warsaw, at the Hilton hotel and was crowned with the Ranking of Engineering Studies 2018.

The aim of the Forum and the “Perspektywy” Ranking of Engineering Studies  was to promote the best practices in educating personnel for the high technology industry, help young people choose an educational path and foster cooperation between academic world and industry. Providing talented youth with the highest quality education is in the interest of the Polish state and our common economic future.

Among others Aryn Orsariev, secretary general in the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan, prof. Yerlan Sydykov, chairman of the Council of Rectors of the Republic of Kazakhstan, rector of Gumilov National Euroasian University in Astana, Marguan Baimuchan, ambassador of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Poland, Dirk Bochar, secretary general of FEANI European Federation of National Engineering Associations, Paweł Poszytek, director general of the Foundation for the Development of the Education System participated in the Forum.

The Forum of Leaders in Engineering Education, organized for the second time, responds to the need for closer cooperation between universities and the high-tech industry. There were debates on challenges of future and the competence needs of engineering graduates. Issues how and by what indicators to assess the progress in cooperation between the academic world and the industry were discussed. Guests showed examples of successful joint ventures in the field of teaching high-tech such as dual studies, joint programs, infrastructure projects and others.

During the gala “Perspektywy” Ranking of the Engineering Studies 63 best faculties in Poland educating in 21 disciplines of technical studies were presented.

The Forum was addressed to the high and middle level of university management: rectors, vice-rectors and deans of the best engineering faculties as well as representatives of the engineering industry. 200 participants took part in the Forum.
